01 / Formula
Start with the liquid that must move through the pack.
Formula texture, solvent system, oil content and other project-specific attributes can affect component behavior. Exact thresholds are not published because they depend on the tested formula and component.
- Define
- Format, sensory direction and expected dispensing behavior.
- Avoid assuming
- A visual reference alone does not confirm functional compatibility.
02 / Application
Define where and how the buyer will apply the dose.
Direct line application, targeted drops and broader misting create different control and coverage questions. The buyer should define parting, dose, frequency and use context before component selection.
- Dropper
- A direction for measured, targeted placement; actual performance requires testing.
- Nozzle
- A direction for direct scalp access; geometry and formula behavior require confirmation.
- Spray
- A direction for wider distribution; spray pattern and component behavior require testing.
03 / Component
Review the complete closure and container system.
The bottle, closure, seal, tube, actuator and decoration need to be considered together. Selected packaging supplier options are available, while exact stock styles are confirmed with Sales.
04 / Filling
Confirm the component can enter the production path.
Filling assessment should consider the actual formula, dose configuration, closure application and line handling. No filling speed or flow-rate claim is published without project-specific production data.
05 / Compatibility
Test the formula and pack as one system.
Compatibility review is project-specific. The scope depends on the formula, selected packaging and target market, and may involve internal or third-party work.
06 / Project confirmation
Bring a reference, then validate the actual configuration.
A useful request includes the formula direction, desired application, pack reference, fill quantity, market and expected order quantity. Fully custom packaging typically requires 5,000-10,000 pieces, depending on project conditions.
- Stock direction
- Ask Sales which selected supplier options are currently available.
- Custom direction
- Confirm component, design, decoration, supplier and customization level.
